Japan to New Zealand Sailings: October 2026 Schedules Compared

7 min read

Published October sailings from Japan to New Zealand present a mixed picture for planning. Japan Forwarding Agency Ltd. (JFA) provides a dated October 2026 schedule for ORCA ACE voyage 68A, while JIMEX Co., Ltd. lists October port dates without identifying the schedule year.

The main finding is that only the JFA and Port of Auckland records provide dated October 2026 port-date entries. The JIMEX October rows use month and day only, so the year cannot be confirmed from that page alone. All dates therefore function as planning information for verification with the operator or forwarder.

What The Published Schedules Confirm

The published schedules provide October Yokohama port-date entries with associated Auckland dates, plus vessel identification for ORCA ACE. JFA lists 2-Oct-2026 under the Yokohama port column and 20-Oct-2026 under the Auckland port column for ORCA ACE voyage 68A. JIMEX lists October 2 at Yokohama and October 20 at Auckland for MOL ORCA ACE voyage V-0068A, without a year.

For NEW CENTURY 1, confirmation is more limited. JIMEX lists TOYOFUJI NEW CENTURY 1 voyage V-207 from Yokohama on October 4 to Auckland on October 18, also without a year. The Port of Auckland expected-arrivals listing identifies NEW CENTURY 1 voyage 207 with Yokohama as the previous port and an arrival date of October 17, 2026.

Toyofuji Shipping New Zealand links an October 2026 schedule PDF and labels its schedule as of October 1, 2026. The page text alone does not confirm that the PDF dates match the JIMEX October 4 and October 18 dates. The table below summarises the dated JFA and Port of Auckland records, with the JIMEX listings shown separately because their years are unstated.

JIMEX October Port-Date Listings

The JIMEX live Oceania schedule presents October Yokohama dates as month and day only. The page does not display a year or dated archive metadata. As a result, the October rows cannot be confirmed as October 2026 sailings from that row alone.

Within that undated list, several Yokohama to Auckland pairs appear. The relevant October candidates include ORCA ACE V-0068A on October 2 to October 20 and NEW CENTURY 1 V-207 on October 4 to October 18. Other October Yokohama candidates in the same listing include MORNING CRYSTAL, TRANS FUTURE 5, DREAM ANGEL, JUPITER SPIRIT, TRANS FUTURE 7 and DUGONG ACE, with Auckland dates shown for most entries.

Three NYK entries in the dataset show a Yokohama date in October with no Auckland date shown. Those entries are DREAM DIAMOND on October 17, PROMETHEUS LEADER on October 24 and GLOBAL FUJI on October 31. The absence of an Auckland date means no interval can be calculated for those rows.

The calendar-day intervals calculated from the JIMEX port dates assume that Yokohama and Auckland fall in the same schedule year. That assumption is not stated on the JIMEX page. Exporters should therefore treat the intervals as indicative arithmetic, not as published transit times.

JFA ORCA ACE Voyage 68A

The JFA schedule, marked as of 29-Sep-2026, provides the only fully dated October 2026 voyage in the available facts. It lists ORCA ACE voyage 68A with 2-Oct-2026 under the Yokohama port column and 20-Oct-2026 under the Auckland port column. The schedule does not label these dates as ETD or ETA.

JFA also publishes vessel identification for the voyage. The schedule lists the call sign as 3EFB2 and the IMO number as 9777814. That identification allows booking teams to match the JFA voyage 68A entry against carrier and port listings that use different voyage formats, such as V-0068A.

The JFA schedule does not establish commercial deadlines for the voyage. Its DETAILS and CUT OFF DATE section shows the cutoff entries for ORCA ACE 68A as TBN. The schedule therefore does not establish a usable vehicle receiving cutoff or booking and document deadline for that voyage.

Comparing The Yokohama-Auckland Dates

On calendar dates, the JFA and JIMEX entries for ORCA ACE are consistent. JFA shows Yokohama 2-Oct-2026 and Auckland 20-Oct-2026. JIMEX shows Yokohama October 2 and Auckland October 20 for MOL ORCA ACE V-0068A. The month and day values match.

The Yokohama and Auckland dates shown for ORCA ACE voyage 68A are 18 calendar days apart. JFA does not publish a voyage-duration figure in the schedule. The 18-day figure is therefore a calendar difference between the two listed port dates, not an operator transit-time commitment.

For NEW CENTURY 1, the comparison is less direct. Calculation from the JIMEX port dates gives a 14 calendar-day interval between October 4 and October 18 under the same-year assumption. The Port of Auckland shows October 17, 2026 for voyage 207 from Yokohama. That port date supports an association with an October 2026 Japan to New Zealand sailing, but it does not confirm the JIMEX October 4 and October 18 dates.

Schedule Caveats And The NEW CENTURY 1 Date Conflict

Schedule caveats apply to all entries. JFA states that schedules are subject to change without notice. That statement means the October 2 and October 20 dates for ORCA ACE 68A remain provisional until confirmed for a specific booking.

The JIMEX caveat is structural. Because the JIMEX page does not identify the schedule year, an October 2 or October 4 Yokohama date on that page cannot be treated as an October 2026 port-date entry without external confirmation. Voyage numbers and port sequences assist matching, but they do not replace a dated sailing schedule or carrier advice.

The NEW CENTURY 1 entries require particular care, as detailed above. JIMEX lists Auckland on October 18 with no year, while the Port of Auckland lists arrival on October 17, 2026 for voyage 207 from Yokohama. The calendar-day values differ by one day when placed under the same-year assumption, although that comparison is qualified because the JIMEX year is unstated. The available facts do not resolve the cause.

The Toyofuji Shipping New Zealand page does not add dated confirmation beyond the position noted above. Verification of the linked PDF or direct confirmation from the line remains necessary.

What Exporters Should Confirm Before Booking

Exporters should confirm the sailing year and voyage identity before allocating stock to a vessel. For ORCA ACE, confirmation should link JFA voyage 68A, JIMEX voyage V-0068A, call sign 3EFB2 and IMO 9777814 to a single carrier sailing. For NEW CENTURY 1, confirmation should clarify whether voyage V-207 refers to the sailing arriving Auckland on October 17, 2026 or to the undated JIMEX October 18 listing.

Cutoff and documentation timing should also be confirmed in writing. Because the JFA cutoff entries for ORCA ACE 68A are listed as TBN, the schedule provides no basis for planning receival. The schedule states no booking or document deadline.

JFA directs bookings to the NZ TRS Team at nztrs@forwarding.jp and lists telephone +81-78-805-2447. The schedule does not state a booking deadline. Early contact is therefore advisable, with the Yokohama port date, the Auckland delivery requirement and the vehicle particulars stated in the request.
