## Billing and plan limits

### What counts toward the monthly vehicle limit?

Every vehicle added to inventory during a calendar month counts toward that month's limit. The count starts again on the first day of each month, measured in UTC.

### What happens when a plan limit is reached?

Nothing already stored is removed. At the vehicle limit, new vehicles wait until the next month or a higher plan. At the storage limit, existing files remain available and new uploads wait until space is freed or the plan is raised.

### How does the shipment tracking limit work?

The limit counts shipments under live tracking at the same time, not lookups. Vehicles that share one bill of lading or one container use a single place. Tracking stops and releases its place when the carrier reports delivery or cancellation, or when staff stop it.

### Can the plan be changed later?

Yes. The dealership owner changes the plan from the billing settings. The new limits apply once the payment provider confirms the change.

### What happens to the audit log when the plan changes?

The audit log is included in the Trade, Export and Custom plans. After a move to one of them, activity is recorded from that day, and nothing earlier is available. After a move to Starter, recording stops and the log and its export are locked. Entries already recorded are kept for six months from the day they were made, and are readable again if a plan that includes the audit log is chosen.

### How is the subscription paid?

Plans are billed monthly by card through Polar, the payment provider. Card details are never received or stored on Carlio's servers. Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes.

### Is a signed agreement required?

Yes. The workspace opens once the service agreement is signed and the subscription is active.

### What does the Custom plan include?

The Custom plan covers more than 100 shipments under live tracking, or terms beyond the published plans. Its price and limits are set out in a signed order form agreed with the Carlio team.
