## Load every container. Track every voyage.

Carlio plans which car rides in which container and tracks the shipment by bill of lading, booking or container number. The vessel position, the route and the arrival date reach every car on board without manual entry.

## Load, ship and follow. One record holds each car's container, vessel and arrival date.

- **Every box loaded, slot by slot**: Each container is drawn from the side, with every car on the floor or on the upper rack.
- **Each stop and each event**: Route stops with actual and estimated dates, and a timeline for every container.
- **The buyer follows the same voyage**: A private link shows the route, the stops and the arrival date, with no account.
- **Every voyage on one map**: Sailed and remaining routes, the vessel position and a card for every shipment.

How it works:

1. **Load the containers**: Each car takes a slot on the floor or the upper rack of its box.
2. **Enter the reference**: A bill of lading, booking number or container number.
3. **Confirm the shipment**: The lookup runs before a place is reserved, so a wrong number costs nothing.
4. **Follow the voyage**: The carrier data refreshes every three hours, and faster near arrival.

## The details. Every rule, in one list.

### Containers

- 20 ft Standard, 40 ft Standard and 40 ft High Cube, each in its own colour with its number on the side.
- Two decks: the floor and the upper rack.
- Cars move between slots and containers by drag and drop, or through the Move To menu.
- Each container shows its load, its free slots, its destinations, its live tracking and a manifest.
- The search finds the container that holds a VIN, a buyer or a destination.
- A shipped container moves from the yard to the archive.

### References

- Bill of Lading, Booking Number and Container Number.
- A container number is checked against its ISO 6346 check digit before any lookup.
- The reference is looked up before a tracking place is reserved.
- Every car on one reference shares a single place. One bill of lading covers all of its containers.

### Shipping lines

- 215 ocean carriers.
- 195 accept a bill of lading.
- 177 accept a booking number.
- 181 accept a container number.
- The carrier is chosen from a list, or left for the lookup to identify.

### Refresh

- Every three hours, and every two hours in the last three days before arrival.
- A manual refresh once every 15 minutes per reference.
- The vessel position is either reported by the vessel or predicted along its route.

### Voyage data

- Place of receipt, port of loading, transshipment ports, port of discharge and place of delivery.
- Departure and arrival, each marked as actual or estimated.
- Container events with location, facility, vessel, voyage number and mode: vessel, feeder, barge, truck and rail.
- Carrier status: Planned, In Transit, Delivered and Cancelled.

### Vehicle records

- Each refresh writes the vessel, the ports and the dates onto every linked car.
- The inventory lists and the overdue arrival warning read the updated fields.
- Departure and arrival suggest the car's next lifecycle stage, which staff confirm.
- A container number on a car's shipment places it in the matching container.
- The exports list filters by Live Tracking, Not Tracked and Needs Attention.

### Buyer portal

- Route map, stops and container events through a private link, with no account.
- English, Russian, Korean, Arabic and Azerbaijani.
- One setting shows or hides the whole shipment.
- The internal shipping note is never shared.

### Plan places

- Shipments under live tracking at the same time: Starter 15, Trade 35, Export 100.
- Tracking stops at delivery or cancellation, or when the carrier rejects the reference.
- It also stops after 30 days with no carrier data, after 120 days in total, when no car remains linked, or when the subscription ends.
- A stopped shipment keeps its last route, stops and events. A delivered one stays on the map for 14 days and uses no place.

## Questions

### Which reference should be tracked?

A bill of lading, where one is available. It covers every container on the shipment and uses a single tracking place. A booking number works before the bill is issued, and a container number tracks one box.

### How is a container load planned?

A container is created with its number, type and colour, or appears when a car's shipment names a new container number. Each car then takes a slot on the floor or the upper rack.

### Does tracking change the car's stage automatically?

No. Carlio suggests the next stage when the carrier reports departure or arrival, and staff confirm it. A car can leave the carrier's view before the carrier reports it.

### What does the buyer see?

With the shipment shared, the buyer's portal shows the route map, the stops with their dates and the container events, in the buyer's language. The internal shipping note is never shown.
